Car says -7. Yesterday's snow cover holding up well.

Looking at the radar seems GFS was more accurate? Looks a bit further north to me. I have not even looked in the main thread I'm guessing it will be mayhem

My new work takes me up into A&B and over to Orkney/Shetland.  This is from Loch Creran before it started snowing properly on Tuesday night...

-5.1 Here this morning. Not  a record for this winter though. Had -6 on the 23rd.

Still fully covered here. Tried to get some photos last night but turns out me and the boy are terrible at photography. Will see if I can find something worth posting.

Crap for us though - however at least you and many others in here have snow on the ground. 

Snow showers in the East of Scotland tonight by the looks of it @Kirkcaldy Weather

Looks like today’s action is going to pivot in the next couple of hours - SE, Central Southern England and Wales will be getting a good dumping later. 

@Stormeh mentioned previously - our next event looks like Sunday although won’t last due to milder temperatures arriving early next week.

Nothing too dire here after overnight low of  -6c. Fog coming in now so not much to see this morning.

Cauldest night of the winter so far here. Bottomed out at -8.8C. Another braw and bricht morning.

-6c on the car just now as I arrived at work. Drive done from Forres last night we hit-9C again just outside Aviemore

Coldest reading in the car at Lamancha/Leadburn -10.5C coming into town.  It's even -6C in north Edinburgh just now with the freezing fog just descending.

Looking good for the SE borders tonight some heavy snow showers.

i think the yellow warning will disappear for the rest of the east unfortunately

The car was not best pleased on start up this morning. Picked up fuel at the local station, other drivers were also reporting -14c temperatures.

GFS P has consistently been showing a cooler outlook in the long term, no raging south-westerlies like the other models are showing.

Unlikely to be as cold as now, but if GFS p is right we could still experience some wintry temperatures next week

Yep! Sadly the latest Met Forecast agrees:

All it takes is a slight correction North and Edinburgh is in the game, we won’t no for sure until probably this afternoons runs

I can't see it shifting at this point. You could see some snow between Sunday and Monday up in penicuik though.

Lovely wee inversion heading down towards the A9 this morning.  Foggy from Dunblane onwards.

There is small flakes of snow falling here but it's still foggy and nothing on radar, strange
