Weather in the Czech Republic

Definitely come back, Prague is so different now to even 10 years ago. The Czech Republic is modernising at a rapid pace. Still plenty of quaint charm though, the atmosphere here is so different to hectic London. 

The last 2 days here have been beautifully sunny, with much milder temperatures, especially today, though with quite strong winds. Thus, lying snow is rapidly disappearing. I’m not overly bothered, am starting to look forward to Spring and warmer conditions.

The wind suddenly picked up here around 9pm, it’s now gusting above 45mph with mean speeds of up to 30mph, very noisy!

After a sunny but very windy morning here, some showers have been rattling through this afternoon. Nice cloudscapes, currently.

Beautiful early Spring day here, temperatures are expected to reach 17C. Unfortunately, I’m flying back to London shortly, so can’t enjoy it.

Very unsettled few days here, some very strong winds and quite a lot of rain.

Gorgeous Spring day with 18C and loads of warm sunshine. Cold front just moving through with dramatic skies, though no rain yet (but it’s on its way). The wind has dramatically increased and is very gusty, with a significant and sudden drop in temperature.

I'm wondering how many years will it take before Central Europe turns into a desert. Disastrous "spring" again, back to extreme drought and it's only April. Another six month long summer may begin I guess.

It is very dry here. Since moving to Prague in December, I’ve only seen rain 2-3 times. The weather patterns have definitely changed, hopefully not for long. We had a decent thunderstorm here yesterday evening, with over two hours of rain. That was good to see.

Had some heavy showers here since Friday evening’s thunderstorms and much cooler temperatures. Heavy rain this morning and looking at the radar, looks like a lot more rain to come today. Much needed here with all the drought worries.

It rained here yesterday for 16 hours, with poor temperatures of just 8C. Varying intensities of rain but often quite heavy. It was great to see as the country is very worried about drought again. A vastly different day today, sunny with a fairly strong breeze and up to 16C.

Absolutely vile day here today, the temperature has dropped to just 3C with rain for most of the afternoon.

Very heavy rain here yesterday upon my arrival from London. Even saw some mammatus cloud formations. Heavy showers and some sunshine later in the day, quite warm too. Sunny skies so far, this morning.

Hot and sunny here for the last 2 days. 27° yesterday and 28° today, lovely. Some storms in the SE’ern horizon affecting parts of Moravia.

Hotting up here again, 30C today with convection starting to really bubble up with a nice halo around the sun showing.

Just heard thunder, convection ramping up

Cracking storm went through and dumped a load of rain and dropped the temperature 10C to 20C. Sun coming back out now.
