Konta thrashed in the 2nd set and goes out. Plenty of unforced errors making it a stroll for her opponent.

    J. Konta 6-7 (5-7) 1-6  B. Strycova

Jo started well, but it was soon all Barbora.
Jo made something like 34 unforced errors and served poorly.
    It was disappointing.

Perhaps she needs a coach like Ivan lendal did wonders for Murray.

Good to see Andy back, you can tell how he still feels a little apprehensive at times with running back and turning with that hip.. Also noticed how he is serving with quite a lot less zip than before, he is also quite a bit slimmer, needs to bulk back up again.. Serena was awesome!!!! I don't think even the men like facing her.... Pure power.... My Wimbledon singles winner for sure.

Konta didn't like the press conference. However we all know she crumbles when pressure gets to a certain point. If she doesn't fix that she'll never win a thing.

Aye, obvious from start, Serena is unbeatable, others nowhere near her, just hand her the trophy

Murray and Williams out so the dream team didn't last long.

Going back to Konta perhaps she should seek some advice from Andy Murray who used to be a bottler at the last hurdle and he managed to change that. Konta has an additional problem of people thinking shes better than she is.

I see Williams has published an article still justifying her disgraceful behaviour last year.

Given the pathetic and snidey nature of the questions, the journalist got exactly what they deserved. A more professional journalist could have asked tougher questions and got a much better response.

As for your point she has appointed a new coach in November last year Dimitri Zavialoff and has big strides in her career. After a very difficult 2018 when she dropped to the mid 40s in the world rankings, Semi Final in Paris and now a Quarter Final and back close to the Top 10 in the world. Hopefully the progress will continue and enable her to go that one stage further at big events. certainly there is not the domination in women's tennis that you get in mens.

For the Singles, I hope Serena wins the womens and Nadal wins the mens, I am sorry but I really cannot take to Roger, who I find extremely arrogant, good player but his attitude leaves a whole lot to be desired.

Breath taking semi final in Federer Nadal... There is talk of bringing in a time rule next year for the servers, be interesting to see how Nadal takes that. He does at times take an age when he is serving. I can see Nadal winning this match. But the current no1 novak is gonna take some stopping.

I find exactly that with Serena, Venus is worse though, but certainly not Federer he rules

Still got a problem with bottling it. As for no domination I think Williams will disagree with you on that.

As for questions they weren't snide at all just brutally honest. The truth hurts however what you don't do is make an enemy of the press as they will get you in the end. Myself I wouldn't have asked the question. However at the next tournament I would have asked are mentally strong enough to win it.

After Murray collapsed and was blown away embarrassingly in the Aussie finals the press were talking whether he could ever recover from the mauling he got. He did but then made a mistake of losing Ivan. He then declined and then got injured. Looking at Feds Murray may still win a future major if his hips holds up but perhaps it will be in doubles.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic (32 yrs ) defied a mid-match slump to reach the Wimbledon final with a four-set victory over Roberto Bautista Agut.

The Serb beat Spain's Bautista Agut 6-2 4-6 6-3 6-2 to reach his 25th Grand Slam final.

Djokovic, chasing his fifth Wimbledon title, will face Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal in the final on Sunday.
