It’ll be interesting to see how that compares to this December then as I’ve hardly seen the sun here. Then again it’s a bit ironic me posting this when the suns shining outside right now

We're actually on 57.2hrs of sunshine so far this month, which is 110% of the 1981-2010 monthly average. It hasn't felt like it though, as the sunshine has mainly come on a few days.

We haven't gone below -0.7C this month, something even 2015 managed. Its been quite a similar month here, just with temperatures a few degrees cooler compared to 2015.

Be glad to see the back of December been a rank month.still got a gut feeling this SSW event ete which a lot are pinning there hopes on may end in tears.so much talk and hype but as yet nothing to see.granted the touted dates ete haven't app in range yet but still.such a frustrating winter so far but plenty of time as they say!!I'd just like to see a snow shower as things stand before march!!!

This is about the worst weather pattern down here. Yesterday looks like it was about the only sun in 12 days if the Met Office forecast is right which is back to its usual recent appearance of not having a single 'sunny interval' symbol in the next 7 days.
And either our weather or the BBC forecast quality is crap, because it shows no hint of brightness for the next 14 days

I'm going to the Alps on tomorrow anyway, but this same pattern probably means poor snow conditions, no fresh snow for about 2 weeks, and it's been mild with freeze/thaw cycles..

No real sign of the weather pattern changing much for when I return either.

Not sure it's possible for weather to be any more boring.. Changeable climate my ass!

Oh well.. lol. The effects of the SSW are gunna have to be good, to make this worth it.

well seeing as the hunt for cold is not working, i think we have found a very pleasent weekend to come, temps upto 13c tomorrow and sunday, some sunshine sohopefully a great weekend to get outside in the garden and get ready for an early spring, Daffs are already shooting, rhubard showing signs of life, so as winter is going to be much of nothing, lets have Spring now

I did see clear blue sky here today early this afternoon but it only lasted about an hour, otherwise it was dull and grey as usual lately.
