Very snowy school drop off! Radar is absolutely loaded too! I have to go to work in Lisburn now, away from all the snow

So - there was just the slightest skiff of a very tiny amount of a covering of slow in Larne this morning, well the part I'm in anyway. You could see it out the front but none lay in the back garden. Then it was snowing a bit from Kilwaughter to Ballyclare on and off and then in fizzled out again.

Ah well, better than nothing - think that's as good as we're gonna get!

Some interesting weather ahead in 10 days time (I know, I know!!) Looking a tad windy it must be said, perhaps even some back end snow  gens-3-1-204.png.a9f71bdaf86df2b721339a2

920 Is that even possible in these parts? Never seen a chart like it!

The 11th and 12th has been on the radar for a while now for some snowy weather from the North West. Could be quite good for us but too far out to get excited just yet. I like this chart. Let's hope that it's still showing come the weekend. Even running through the GFS precip type charts looks great from the 10th on.

After so many let downs I'll wait until later in the week before getting too interested.

Even if there's no snow, there could be a notable storm and I would imagine huge waves off the West and North coasts.

Yeah it's more from the storm perspective that has piqued my interest

Anyone fancy a dander up the Mournes?

This evening forecast

Showers or longer spells of snow, with blizzards over the tops, but rain falling on the lowest slopes. Strong or gale force westerly winds.

Enough wind there to blow a ???? man off his sister.

Seriously though, looks like we are in for a period of interesting weather, crazy wind speeds with potential blizzard conditions. Scary for the west coast.

As Ronan says, ECM update be interesting
