First wee bit of sleet showing on the radar now. Wouod love to see a bit of snow at some stage this week.

I'm on the snow hunt, my partner is in Singapore and wants pictures of any snow. Depending on how things go this evening, might take a drive up to Glenshane pass for early morning, or, if it falls as snow on high ground here (Belfast hills etc) somewhere local. Showers do look to be penetrating inland well and strong at the minute, so who knows. It's been that long since the last snow risk I've near forgotten just how nowcast snowfall can be. It is a marginal event, but do expect some high ground accumulations.

Doesn't feel cold enough for snow outside at the minute but the blinds will be up this evening. Upside is I might catch some snow falling, downside is neighbour will be accusing me of flashing her (again!!)

Heavy sleet falling just outside Claudy now. Its a start anyway.

Slightest covering on top of the car side roofs, surprised we have any!

I was woke by one of the kids at 2.30am and there must have been a very heavy fall around 2am as it was completely white outside. Bit of a thaw since but I just took this there now.

Wet snow here now. Temp 1.9c. not even leaving a slush but it's a positive start to the season.  Higher ground should be white.

Cheers!! Nothing major, around 180ms or so. However, we always seem to do really well in these set ups. Showers usually still have a lot of intensity when coming in from the NW.

Dew points still low and low surface temps with that band moving in ...might see some at least falling

Is that the same system that passed through Ireland during the night?

There must have been a pretty intense fall as there is about an inch and a half of snow on the car.

This was Carndonagh a couple of hours ago.

Was up at loughermore trig point just before mid day. Most of the showers must have missed us during the night.

Under that ppn over derry I saw my first seven snowflakes of winter 2020 ....from small acorns and all that

Just rain and sleet in Limavady it did start out as about a minute of snow.

It got a little heavier and started to stick , 109m asl
