Sleety rain here in north Leitrim. Getting more sleety as I type. Even if it does turn to snow I can’t see it amounting to much.

Didn't take long to lay here everywhere coated.

Very heavy snow in north Leitrim, about 1/2 an inch on the ground. Expecting this to turn to rain by about 3am, sadly.

Stupid photo update , Derry city centre bit of a bust , not lying , went out for some wood shouts outside dungiven , two lorries stuck just on the way out of town  towards the glenshane..some places could be a well covered by morning

Amazing amount of snowfall here looks easy 6 inches maybe more.

Just looked out. Some dumping of snow! Easily 4 or 5 inches. Seems to be raining now though. Temp 0.7c.

Easily a couple of inches at the house this morning. For anyone taking the M2 into Belfast it’s clear from the Bellevue down. Just sleet in Belfast. Amazing the difference a wee bit of height makes.

Morning Ireland.  Glad some of you are seeing some snow.  Just gusty heavy rain for me here at the moment, not going to be  pleasant walk to.work in a minute. Enjoy the snow.

I stayed awake til 12.45am but gave up as there was no sign of wintriness at all. Woke to find a significant fall in the early hours. Really surprised!

If I had been awake about 5am I would have seen something spectacular. 

It was still good enough to excite the kids and I this morning.

Had a couple of inches here but was already going slushy when I woke at 8am. Still nice to see it though!

Had about an inch of snow in north Leitrim last night, all falling in the space of an hour. All melted now but I got in my 2am walk!

Does anyone else just become a big kid when it snows? I’m 35 but had my nose glued to the window!

Maybe being greedy now, but any idea on further snow accumulations this week? or will it be just showers or only at altitude?

Looking at met office forecast, not much more than a few showers over the next couple of days.
