Yea I'm only 25 m above sea level. Lough foyle has a very strong influence on the weather here too. You only need to go a couple of miles inland to see a big difference.

No sign of anything white here last night. Just back in the door from u6 football coaching and wind starting to pick up out there. Going to be a fascinating 4 days weather ahead!!

Met E now has a full orange warning out for Ireland.

wind picking up, will be a rough night and into tomorrow.

Snow chances still looking good for Monday through to Thursday based on 6z

Status Red - Gale Warning

South to southwest gales or strong gales will develop on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea today. Winds reaching storm force 10 on coastal waters from Slyne Head to Erris Head to Malin Head and possibly touching violent storm force 11 for a time this afternoon.

I'm lurking round this thread as Irelands weather can be a foretaste of things to come.  I live NW region of England and have a trip planned to N Wales tomorrow, but this will hinge on conditions nearer the time. Hope you all stay safe.

Euro 4 normally pretty good. I have my first double snow symbols showing for Monday morning
