Very heavy rain here in Derry with a little sleet mixed in. The Sperrins should be seeing a little snow.

Just seen this on Facebook. Snow in Donegal a little while ago.

Slight dusting of snow on top of the Sperrin's this morning, still there on the way back home from work. Apologies for the quality of the pic but the sun was only rising so not much light.

Hopefully that’s the rain over for a few days, ground totally saturated and bad flooding over our way

The latest update of the HIRLAM model is looking rather promising for West Wicklow, much of Kildare and possibly south Meath (and some other asking areas inland) for tomorrow evening and it's clear to see that it's taking evaporative cooling into effect. Will be very interesting to see how it pans out. I find it this model to be often fairly accurate.

Monday evening into Tuesday showing some potential covering a good part of the country.

Lots of heavy downpours here today (rinse and repeat for the last few weeks!) and some hail and sleet in the mix. I'd imagine we'll see white tops on the Dublin mountains in the morning!

My aunt in Kildare sent me this, she's in Monasterevan but not sure where this was taken exactly, perhaps somewhere w/ elevation? Not sure how low level the snow is for you

Car was reading -4.5c this morning outside aughnacloy. Some bits of frost didn't melt all day. Lovely weather.

Models firming up on the whole PV shifting East of the Greenwich Meridian with associated upper height rises over Greenland. 

The prospects of a North to North Easterly airstream are increasing for the start if Winter proper.

North Easterly is crap for us here due to the short sea track, actually better for the NW strangely. 

A straight Easterly or South Easterly or Northerly is better.

Let's hope it delivers. Very mild today at 9c. A north easterly wind would be quite unusual for us?
