Did the storm hit at all, slept soundly last night so mustn't have been all that bad for around here

I didn't think it was ever going to be that bad. It was weakening very quickly as it crossed. The rain was the worst of it and not that bad.

!00%. It was a Cat 5 hurricane only a few days ago, nobody could be sure as to how much it would weaken with it's unusual nature/path etc. They were spot on to warn

No let up in sight now for Autumnal weather. Westerly driven wind, rain and cooler temps for the foreseeable future.

That time of year again Big Lad, many a hope and many a hope dashed no doubt. At least we will keep our toys in the pram if the weather doesn't do what we would wish it to do

A couple of weeks ago I was pretty pessimistic about a cold Winter but the trop/strat disconnect is giving me a new hope.

Jeysus. If MS is hoping, I'm ecstatic!

Not that I'm up there, but radar showing rain in the mountains and some snow falling out in the Irish Sea. Feels bitter today. Definitely coldest day of Autumn so far now!

Looks like Dublin could be having something wintry this morning.
