Do you all think that this weeks showers will bring snow to low levels or will we need a bit of height?.

I'd assume Mon/Tue is very much dependent on height.. Low levels probably won't get much, but will still see falling snow which is better than nothing!

Altitude is always preferable  particularly in NW airstreams. Antrim Town should be just fine.

Looking like a rain to snow event for Monday. I expect a couple of cms before it clears off later in the evening.

Looking forward to viewing the Euro4’s tomorrow, seeing this blue turn readily to pinks for the whole country.

Updates at 00.00, 05.00, 11.00 and 17.00 for anyone interested

First half of last winter Aperge rarely went for snow when I got it the PM set up. Not saying it will be wrong either. IMO I think the NW will see a moderate amount of snow.

I generally hope you are right!! But low elevation in PM airstreams, never seem to go together

Not that it won't happen, nobody really knows. But I urge caution on the GFS precipitation charts, they are renowned for mad stuff!

If that weather front don't produce a few hours of snow at modest heights & inland locations with these parameters then thats me for the season i give up.

Doesn't look great to be honest.  Snow showers on Tuesday I suppose then temps back up to 7 or 8 degrees at the weekend.

The week after, it's rinse and repeat with another potential Northerly.

MetO video forecast showing little if any snow produced from the front. Plenty behind it, however. Automated forecast dropped to 2/3C for all of Tuesday at my location. Not paying 2 much attention to if it says rain or not .

I know it's fun to look further ahead, and sustained cold/snow is the pot of gold many are hoping for. But Monday night/Tuesday doesn't exactly look terrible for snow chances.

This looks pretty damn good to me from tomorrow evening on.

I’m confident we’ll do alright, some places could get quite a pasting based on precipitation charts

It will be a case of radar watching tomorrow from late afternoon to see how far off the first band of rain the cold air is, imagine it was frontal, looks plenty of precipitation heading in first

Should be good right up to 5.45, going to get up at 5 tomorrow to see it

Pity it wasn't last night....was only going to bed at 5 after the sess

You guys and gals up north should do well tomorrow night and Tuesday I would imagine so send in the snow pics as it arrives.....hoping to catch a snow shower or two here but not expecting much .......plenty of frost around this week so definate wintry feel in the air...it looks like briefly milder around Friday and then back to cold over weekend and next week so more snow chances for some.....the predicted easterly for this week was a fail but I still believe we will see a very cold period over next few weeks with hopefully snow for all....
