Well at least it’s a nice sunny start to the day. Not expecting much here but will be nice if I do see anything wintry.

As the radar suggests, definitely falling as snow on Dartmoor

Here in South Dartmoor we have sleet showers on and off with some larger flakes mixed in, but not a white out yet ??

No danger of snow here methinks. Already 3C and the sky looks rainy rather than snowy (very scientific I know).

Temperatures may fall in heavier showers? If the showers are still ongoing tonight then there may be a better chance of some lower level snow too then but it is a big if.

Yeah looks like they're hitting the brecon beacons and breaking up.

Yup being trolled by Henry again. Give me a channel low so we don't have to worry about those pesky Welsh mountains.

looking at the radar the SE look like timing this just right.... the showers/more organised area of ppn will arrive as the temps start nose diving into the late afternoon early evening! I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad

I wouldn't worry too much. Not a great deal showing up by the evening..

Don’t suppose it’ll make much difference but annoyingly the temperatures still rising slowly. Up to 5.6°C. ?

Very doubtful we'll get anything settling today. Temps have risen quite steadily all morning after the frost ?

Currently 5.2°C humidity 75% DP 1.1°C only saving grace is the humidity is going down. May get lucky with some sleet/wet snow if temps drop during the showers but in this type of set up they normally go to the north and south of us.

Hope peeps at higher elevations get lucky!

    • Cold waves hitting Europe continue to threaten growers, is there a link to climate change?

Much of Europe, not just the UK, has experienced unseasonably cold weather since the Easter Weekend. A plunge of cold arctic air brought by northerly winds early last week brought several nights of frost and even snow across large swathes of Europe, followed by another wave of cold arctic air spreads across much of Europe this week. The frosts causing damage to new growth in vineyards and orchardsa0spurred on by a late March heatwave, the vineyards of France werea0particularly badly affected.

High pressure rules, but still chilly out the sun & watch out for a few showers

High pressure in charge for the rest of the week but the airmass will be chilly, so feeling nippy out of the sun. Not entirely dry either, with scattered showers around the next few days, especially in the west. Read the full update here

You'll need your coat because it's still cold out of the sun

More April snow for Monday morning with a widespread frost. If you have outdoor plans this week, the chill in the air remains especially once the sun goes down. Read the full update here
