Hail showers here for the last hour, mostly light but occasionally heavier. Only 4.5°C at the moment although when the sun comes out it rises fairly quickly.

Sleety drizzle here on the A338. Heading home now.

Nice little hail shower heading your way. Formed overhead here out of nothing much.

Hoping to go for a walk in a bit.

Needless to say, same here, Mike!  It's been a pretty miserable late afternoon, some heavy rain, sleet and wet snow combined with a drop in temperature from 9.5°C at 13.00 to 5.1°C.

Temp down to 3.5°C now, we had another light hail shower with some sleet mixed in after I last posted but that's about it.

Could make out snow on the Mendips from the top of the Clifton Suspension Bridge today. Mostly rain with a bit of sleet in Bristol however. A cold day in all.

Amusingly (given we are slap bang under a LOW) it has been a bone dry day in Warminster as we were too far West to be under the clearer then showery conditions, but slightly too far East to catch the more persistent precipitation that dropped down from the North. As a result we had a frosty, sunny start then an overcast afternoon with hazy sunshine at times as the frontal cloud came and went.

No more showers here after the hail shower earlier on. Felt quite warm in the sun even though the temperature only reached 8.1°C but the temperature dropped quite a bit in the showers. Currently 3.5°C.

Thoroughly depressing here and as vile as any day we endured through winter.

this is why I don’t understand championing cold charts at this time of year in the model thread because all we get is absolutely disgusting cold heavy rain. If people genuinely enjoy that I feel sorry for them.
