Well for what it’s worth I’ve got plenty of snow symbols this morning.

Worth a great deal. If you get snow this will be a worthy event!!

I have got my wellies and trusty snow shovel out from the garage.  Bought the snow shovel some years ago and last March was the first time it was needed! Now it looks like it'll be needed again......two years in a row!  😀😀 Have a few extra bits and bobs of food in too, milk, bread, beans, soup. The shortages last March were a wake-up call! 😲

hmmmm....I would LOVE you to be right 🙂

I think you're in a cracking spot - i think the Basingstoke Plateau will cop it this evening.

Hopefully, I will get out before it does then - I work in Basingstoke but live nearer Andover (another snow spot).  However, a snow day off work tomorrow would be very much appreciated.

Basingstoke, at the moment, is sunny with a few wispy clouds and a heavy frost -3.

I expect South/South East Wales to get an amber warning from the Meto today.

The Met Office have confidently forecast this to be snow and they have been very good.

However I think it's poor that warnings are not issued properly in advance.

720 feet high on the highest part of the plateau, had drifts for weeks up there last year, its like the Alps. Still minus 3. This is going to be a  good un, unlike saints performance last night

Hirlam 6z has just come out, the M4 southwards look fantastic with 7-15cm with more further south. West country look at between 4-8cm and further SW between sort 2-5cm.

It was -6.5c in Ecchinswell, near Kingsclere, in North Hampshire this morning.

We look to be in a good spot for a bit this evening. My Panda 4x4 is desperate to be used in anger!

The New Forest is “crunchy” this morning. Hope it’s “squeaky” tomorrow morning.

Was -6 here last night in Poole according to my thermometer!! Let’s hope the surface temps and dew points stay close to freezing through the day then we may be in for some action later when the front arrives
