BANK! Some major cities are in the dark blue zone there (Bristol, Bath, Cardiff)
This is the first time we will be getting the lovely big flakes of snow for 6 years settling down here!
Have love watching this turn from a nothing to a major event for the south of England and Wales! ❄️
I can't wait for tomorrow night guys, good luck!

Who knows they might upgrade the warning.

Currently 3/4 impact, 2/4 likelihood, only needs to get to 3/4 likelihood to get an amber.

Eh? 6 years? Where were you in March last year?

I wouldn't want a repeat of March. We had freezing rain on top of the snow. It took me over an hour to do a 20 min walk to work. I've never felt so unsafe. The ice was a good half inch thick on top of the snow. Its one weather phenomenon that I'm glad I've seen but wouldn't want a repeat

The freezing rain was a real treat to see but my god was it dangerous. Luckily I didn't have to go out in it to work. I don't want to see that again this year.

I see. I'd like a repeat of February 2009.

The Hirlam is awesome, we could see dinner plate sized flakes, Sidney could be in trouble especially with 12 inches!

My squirrels all six of them have been frantically running around looking for their nuts this morning, I knew I should have put little flags out to mark the spot for them make it a bit easier when it's covered in snow

The latest EURO4 is a disappointment IMBY, but good for counties such as Dorset, Hampshire & Wiltshire;

19013118_3012.thumb.gif.79bbf7e9ebca6f33e2477ad4a3a8bb46.gif19013121_3012.thumb.gif.96af8595d1e44a64c3121f0fd51bc1ca.gif19020112_3012.thumb.gif.2c0c79a18f42bf48d02045a4b2e78911.gif

Some decent accumulations in these counties.  Big upgrade for you lot.

For Somerset, Bristol area, a clear split in the front which precludes much less snowfall activity, hence the clear gap in the chart above.  The left side of the front heads into South Wales, the right side heads along the South Coast.  Areas in the middle are left with the lighter stuff.

One possible scenario.
