Morning all, another wet and windy start to the day here. I'm hoping this dreary, dank autumnal weather will give way to winter soon, astronomical winter starts on Friday, with a bit of luck it'll be turning colder and dryer soon.

Radar showing a pretty grim looking squall line currently over Devon and Wales inbound for the Bristol area. Be interesting to see what that brings!

A high of 10.6c at 1pm, but dropped to 9.8c now.
1005.4 hPa and falling.
Rain has just started here, fairly light so far.
SSE 15-20mph wind with only 25-30mph gusts

Raining all day here; heavy at times. Oh how i miss this time last week basking in the sun with daytime temps of 22c.

Three weeks since this garbage began, funnily enough with a potent squall moving through on a Tuesday afternoon and flash flooding in central Bristol.

Will happily take another couple weeks of this dross if the MetO are right about the beginning of January.

Up to 12.6mm of rain now - getting closer towards the wettest month recorded at this particular station. The wind isn't particularly bad, mostly mid-twenties gusts, with a few occasional 30's.

Only 5.0mm here so far but the heaviest rain hasn’t reached here yet. Becoming increasingly dark.

Very dark on Bedminster down and the squall line just a few miles away. Waiting for the heavens to open!

Yeah, it's still there. I'm struggling to spot a gap in it for @matt111

Heavier band is now overhead and it's proper chucking it down. Glad I'm leaving work later today as should have cleared off by then rather than driving through it!

Just had a brilliant downpour here, road turned to a river. 87mm/hr. Up to 21.6mm now. Still not particularly strong winds..
