Some big cbs around now and dark skies from nearby downpours, all doing their utmost to miss here of course.

Lol the boy and I were just stood at the window watching hail when there was a bright flash and shotgun thunder!

Edit : Looking out there now, to your SW, I reckon there's another cell building and heading your way.

Short sharp downpour here with 5-6 rumbles of thunder. Popped up out of nowhere.

Thunder and lightning and very big raindrops on a storm just approaching Bristol. Sat on Bedminster down watching it roll in from north Somerset. Great little vantage point up here.

Another much heavier downpour just went through, this time with hail, but no thunder. Seems the heavier precipitation is from the less electrically active cells!

Had a few light to moderate showers, but seemed to have dodged most, with areas slightly further north getting a lot more. I did hear a couple of rumbles to my north from a quickly developing shower about 6-7 miles away.

22.2mm of rain from the main front. Temp hit 15.2°C.

Not a sniff of anything convective here. It's almost 2 years since I had a storm, very disappointing.

Yes.. had that hail shower about 2 hours ago and the wind picked up quite a bit. It has been dry since then with sunny spells but a keen breeze. Reached 15.7°C, currently 13.8°C

9.9mm from the overnight rain, dry until about an hour ago, very dark all round but no further rain.  That may change in the near future!

Rain started at 1am here, 7mm recorded up until 11am.
Was a lot less rain, than I thought we would get.
Since 11am, its been dry, but breezy, with a high of 14.8c at 1:30pm
Still breezy, 16-24mph, with plenty of 25-30mph gusts,

Rainfall is really an all or virtually nothing event in recent months.

April had 46mm including 29mm in one day. May, except for today, looks really dry but today is over 20mm!

26mm of rain in the last 2 days and both maxes were 12.8c .

Lovely sunshine and clear sky this evening hopefully paving the way for a better day tomorrow. By better I mean warmer and sunnier after a chilly start then good convection with a few showers - preferably after 2pm once my washing has dried!!
