could be a taste of spring in the air by the end of next week

mild and sunny by day.. but cold at night.

large day/night temp ranges are a sign of spring

Light grey drizzly start to the day.
A few showers late last evening 3,8mm total yesterday. Wind has died down a lot from yesterday afternoon as forecast.
A few more showers bringing 2.8mm in the early hours.
Now, 6.3c, SW 8-10mph wind, 992.5 hPa

Looking like a dry mild spell for the next couple weeks. Great for getting in the veg garden and getting those early crops started.

Anyone had snow overnight in the Devon/Dartmoor area? Heard rumours of a covering have seen snow reports from the Welsh mountain biking centres as well.

[13:35] Just had a grey-ish cloud go over then within a few seconds the wind really ramped up (like a downburst/updraft - don't know what the term is, if someone could educate me), then came loads of hail - tiny sized balls. The wind continued, then five minutes after, it all fell quiet again. Short and sharp.

Some sleet around the region now

there was really heavy batch of snow over Wales but that is starting to weaken as the mountain effect dies its thing .
