Expecting a very cold one here tonight, only patchy frozen snow left but out of the sun its stayed as ice all day. In Jan 2009 and dec 2010 we hit -18 & -16 respectively. Doubt I will see that again  in my time. For the record, we're 4 miles outside Glastonbury on the edge of the levels, it tends to be a bit of a 'frost hollow'. Keep warm peeps.

By the way, drove into town earlier, the view of the mendips was awesome all swathed in snow and lit by the setting sun. Wish I took a pic.

What a beautiful day. Been out for a lovely walk. Still got about 2 to 3 inches of snow in most places.

Came across these footprints during our walk.  Anyone know what might have made them?

Fox?

Loving the language from the Irish players.

Made me realise why I wasn't allowed to watch ITV as a child.

Yeah I thought I heard one of the Irish players blurting out the Fs and Cs...

It is a real shame that milder weather is moving in from Sunday it could have been a great start to a cold spell with close to a foot of snow on ground. After a winter of disappointment this one snow event has saved it from being a terrible winter.

Just need one or two more to make it a good winter.

I saw my neighbours cat leave prints that looked exactly like that, though possible a bit smaller. So fox maybe?

Yeah I was going to say earlier my neighbour’s garden had weird prints this morning, looked like kids prints but these were at 7 this morning.. my neighbour doesn’t have kids and pretty sure there weren’t any kids in her drive at that time..

Feb 1998...? Well I certainly wouldn't want the summer of 1998 though, which seemed appalling.

Not ready for 18C yet, thanks!!  However, models seem to be flirting with that idea.

I don’t think anyone is, but certainly not looking cold in the week to come. 18 degrees can wait at least another 7 or 8 weeks in my opinion.
