I have no idea why a amber warning was put up around Bristol, nothing falling out the sky!

Famous last words!

Goodness knows how much we’re going to end up with here, let alone in other nearby places.

The net weather radar is showing it intensifying from Warminster to Oxford, now yellows and oranges rather than the greens and blues.

Can't see any significant snow this far north anymore but could bode well further south and east!

This is potentially going to be a massive disappointment here no amber warning was needed for here that is for sure.

1.8°c, dew point -1.7°c

Scraped a level 5-6cm off the car roof this morning. Less than 2 miles inland. The majority of winters do not produce that much down here.

Any more will just be an unexpected bonus!

Ouch

I just don't understand why it's been so bad for us.  I mean flip 11 inches for some and only 1 here which is pretty much gone. Madness! And the radar seriously peed us off for telling everyone we were getting a dumping when nothing was falling. It's mostly just been small dandruff flakes. Hope we can get something else out of it as it moves away but I doubt it. It's sleety right now which is melting it more too. Harsh times! But hey this is Winchester practically never ever have snow so got to be greatful for it and hope that some holds on for when J gets home from school in an hour

Costs a few quid I know, but its really pleasing to see the birds swamping the feeding station, the Robins were being almost hand fed,as well as having territorial punch ups,but worth every penny, not seen any heavy snow, but the garden suggests otherwise, places west of here getting a really memorable snowfall.

Which one did ya get?

Been down pub, back in to look at radar, expecting to see this area of ridiculous snow pushing off in one direction or another, and it seems to be intenisifying if anything.  13cm and counting here in Wantage.  If I think back to yesterday, this is a total forecast bust, in a good way, no one predicted this, Met Office, amateurs, good models , rubbish models, all failed.

And that's great, if we were ever able to fully predict the weather we would lose something utterly magical like today!

Looks like the main area of snow transfers east towards London area and surrounding areas by this evening with slow moving areas of snow spiralling round could be a nice surprise for areas further east this evening this is judging by what a couple of weather models are saying..
