The Cotswolds looks like they're getting hammered! The green areas on radar certainly pepped up and here in Gloucester.. just wondering if its still got more of a westward tilt to it. Fascinating to observe. And the met office were not too far off with their warnings.. just so difficult to judge of course. Enjoy all !

Well done to everyone who's had a bucket load of snow!

Didn't work out for us in Salcombe, we had plenty of cold rain all day but not quite the right combo to make it snow (though I have to say it can't have been far off as there is lying snow about 6 miles north of here).

Never mind, wasn't expected anyway. I'm still living off the legend of the 2018 Beast from the East (of course that would be the standard thing to say when you have a snow fail!)

The cars did have a little teeny weeny covering this morning, so technically I can say it snowed, right?!

This is amazing, just amazing. Far from fizzling out, the snow has just got heavier and heavier here. Easily 6 inches now and pelting it down. And the best bit, absolutely no sign of that dreaded noise of the drip drip!

I grew up in Gloucester. My parents still live in Longlevens. My Mum texted me saying they’ve had an inch overnight and asked about me. I live outside Stroud, not particularly high up, and I’ve got 6 inches here and it’s snowing heavier now than last night. Radar watching has been nearly as excellent as the snow - I’ve never seen a stalled system keep producing like this! At 7pm last night I was sure we wouldn’t get any at all...

Smartie any chance it will shift this way?

The patch of precipitation doesn't appear to be moving, but the brighter echos within the area seem to be moving slowly west so it could get heavier at times.

Just had an unhappy delivery driver turn up at work, if he doesn't go out he doesn't get paid.

Heading home at 11am to build a snowman & play with the dog in the snow.

Well i’m gobsmacked at this.

10 years of looking at the models and I never imagined that such a set up could bring me the heaviest snow I’ve seen in my 34 years. Closing in on 20cms here.

I just had to take my 4month old son out in it, although I was more exited than he was!
