Will it Snow In Cardiff Jay?

.... My sister at Uni in Cardiff just sent me a few snaps. Looked a decent covering.

Hope everyone is having a ball. Try and make sure it hasn’t all melted by the time I get  home on Saturday..... seriously frustrated at being away tonight.

Missed a good one Catacol, hope it lasts for you...

all that effort you put into looking for it, must be frustrating. Thanks for all your insight this winter.

I’d usually check the traffic cam up on the A303 in Amesbury but it’s obscured

Gosh, I hope this stays until tomorrow as I love taking pictures of snow(and trains!) This one good snowmageddon will keep me happy even if we don't get any more this Winter. I wonder how other parts of the country are doing?

other parts of the country are doing crap, but at least you are enjoying the snow while it lasts

Yes, it does. But only for cornwall I believe

and if you look at the radar it looks like the first front is pivoting and heading back through cornwall, squashed from both sides

Being a Yorkshireman, I'm supposed to know all about them, but I can't say I've ever had the pleasure.

Put it this way, you wouldn't want one of the buggers running up your trouser leg

Just havIng a look at some of the traffic cameras myself @CheesepuffScott

Clearly not as much snow in Southampton as here but plenty of white roofs visible on this camera

Just when it looked like the snow was over here, the ppn just built over my head! Amazing to watch on Radar. Still snowing nicely now.

It is truly amazing! We have waited (im)patiently and have been well rewarded. I hope you have a good snowfest at some point this Winter too!

Stopped again here but there's still stuff appearing locally on radar. For what it's worth anyway.

Unfortunately my outdoor light is on a timer that went off at 2300 and the switch is in an out-house, meaning I've had to revert to the manual snowcheck method (a torch through the window).

The locals either think I'm mad (likely), am attracting doggers (unlikely) or know morse code. :help:

Evening all, far too many pages to catch up with so can someone please save me trawling through looking for info...….how much longer is this supposed to continue? Still lots to come or petering out soon?

We've got a good 4 inches here, it's still coming down thick and fast, windy and drifting. Just done a mercy mission taking my son home and it's sheet ice beneath the snow, really very slippery! I'm supposed to be going to work tomorrow, really need to be there but I'm wondering if I'll make it - cars abandoned/stuck all over the place even on main roads that have been gritted.

Don't even think about it.Stay safe!

No 50p snowflakes yet but a good covering so far, estimate about 3cm so far.
