It's been six years since I've lasted posted here - an opportune moment! Currently chucking down with snow in Reading with a centimetre or so of accumulation. Here's hoping that school will be cancelled.

Weird...very light in Bracknell. The minor differences can be amazing sometimes!

Turned out to be a beautiful, icy, snowstorm of a night; Not too much, not too little.

Yeah about 5 minutes from me. I'm sure Shotover has a good covering!

Yeah, I wish I was there now and not in Gibraltar. It's currently hammering it down with rain here, with wind speeds of 50mph+  Horrible. On a side note, I see you're a fan of Oxford City... I had a career with them on Football Manager 2017, took them to the championship  My cousin Isaac still plays for them but hasn't made the first team yet. He did make the bench once. His mates Tom Carter and Craig Fasanmade have had a few appearances now though!

Sorry for the off-topic post

Still snowing reasonably hard here, despite being in the radar gap now. I don't know what to believe any more, so I'm just sticking with the window. Science.

I always find the window radar to be the most accurate.

Go old school and not look at the radar at all  Just go by what the lamp post is saying!

Jay, I have one question for you mate... Will it snow in Gibraltar?!

Looks like you've done well from this, doesn't look like stopping anytime soon for you either.

The radar must be well and truly rogered. I'm under a developing yellow echo, but there's just a few snow grains falling.

10.30pm radar update.

The area of snow is now pivoting, centre is hard to make out, I'd say somewhere south of Portland/Swanage. Precipitation is now beginning to wrap around over the New Forest and towards the IOW, with some interesting echos appearing East of the IOW heading towards W.Sussex. Could be some more area appearing here later on.

I think the Northern extent is now reaching its final limit.

Also, Western Cornwall, eyes out towards the Scilly Isles, that band is intensifying.

Totally agree @Climate_Eyes It's all been a bit odd this evening.

We've had friends texting all night asking what's going on. I honestly have no idea.

Just checked my met office app and it shows continuous snow right through till 2pm tomorrow afternoon, surely that can't be right! Not that I'm complaining lol

It's back to light snow till 1pm now. Considering apps are derived from one model, one run and only one outcome of many ens it shows how much uncertainty there is. Only use them as a guide at best but it is still a possibility

Got about 2cm here now not quite enough for one of these yet☃️
