Have the red/orange sky here  not seen that for awhile

All our streetlights are now white LED, the days of the orange night glow in the snow are now gone forever. Kinda miss it.

Big flakes and quite heavy here at the moment, certainly a big difference over the past hour!

Wrong thread, we are snow spotters not train spotters

Funny, I was having a walk in the village last night and one of the new white LED lights they put up 2 or 3 years ago is on the blink (literally.. keeps flashing on and off)

Also live next to a train track, so share the same blue flashes! Always think there's lightning about haha!

I'm a few miles inland from Bognor at the foot of the downs and have measured 3cm on the garden table just now. Came out of Chichester Theatre to heavy flakes blowing in the wind and settling quickly at 9pm, now fizzling out. Be nice to have some more overnight but I guess that's our lot? Any ideas?

Wow, so Swindon has snow now! Must be moving Northwards slowly. Looks like Oxford still haven't got anything though. I hope it reaches there soon, my cousin lives there and is excited to see some snow. I promised him he would get some tonight  Must be very close to them now though is Swindon has it.

Yes, noted this earlier bell.

Could be interesting, but as I said earlier the apps or forecasts haven’t been to great so far, hopefully they now have a better idea of developments and it’ll be spot on.

Snow falling here seems very dry and smallish flakes was expecting big wet fat blobs.

With the later arrival of the ppn the cold dry air has established making the snow much dryer.

Seems to be, this precipitation doesn't appear to be going anywhere fast

Still filling in down to the south of us also around Dorchester / Weymouth
