Would be wise mate, specially if you don’t have four wheel drive, easy to get stuck and that would be a complete nightmare. Better safe than sorry...

Exactly.... safety the better part of valour.

Ditto not convinced myself!

Can't see it either looking at the radar. Seems like it's almost through here. Chucking it down now though.

The UKMO have us down for heavy snow at 2200 tonight in Gosport. At the moment it's small snow flakes temp 0.9C decreasing -0.4 /hr. DP -0.2C. Snow is settling on garden furniture but not on the ground. Grass Temp: 0.6C. There's an interesting feature of the north of Normandy and I am wondering if that's what the UKMO think is going to be heavy snow at 2200.

Anyone know if these showers will make land? They look like they are intensifying

I think it will I don't know if it's just me it's looks weaker computed a hour ago but it should make land regardless

Think I'm not going to get the heaviest though

Fat flakes and settling readily now, the radar shows the area of snow over my location to be very slow moving

Still bone dry up here in the far NE of our region, unfortunately.

Looks to be headed our way still but sure is slow going!

@jtay Have you also got dandruff down there? Falling from the sky of course

It seems to be getting more intense here

Have been reading the mad thread for months, feels like years, any potential has always been at day ten and never delivered. Literally on the verge of labelling this winter a busted flush and giving up, then BOOM IT DELIVERS.

Funny old game.

I'm wondering if that gap between the main front and the secondary feature will allow enough time for temps to drop off a bit. UKMO forecast a 1C drop from 2C between 2100 and 2200 but were currently at 1C so another 1C drop would be more than welcome.
