Proper big flakes now and some very strong winds, it’s all still pushing north

That should be getting to me soon!

It's soooo painful watching the radar, my little red blob indicating my house is inside a light patch of precip, while all around is darker, please please just snow ?

Tell me about it! Even brighter echo's from the band just to the south but it doesn't seem to be moving north very  much

Everything seems to have ground to a halt in terms of progression of that snow. Latest MetO shows us in the firing line later tonight. Any idea why it's stalled like this?

Yes, we're in no man's  land here at the moment. I think this might be the pivot that has been mentioned with the front or what's left of it moving north later, although the whole lot has gone quite a bit further east than I thought from looking at the morning models.  Just revisiting that ICON-EU 15z, interesting to look at the cumulative snow to about now:

0 for Oxfordshire, and 0 we've had.  It's spot on so far!

Interesting if you dip into the Midlands thread - they’re still expecting snow to reach the South Midlands and dump a few inches. A few are convinced this is still a developing situation and could all intensify and move north! Damn I’ll have to keep watching the radar now, and open the vino I was saving for when the snow was supposed to start.

There is still a part of me which thinks this is still going to be a snow event. Might end up being a surprise who knows. PPN is pepping up though now as it heads north.

I'm sure we'll all get the snow forecast hopefully.

Given up and just going to lampost check now and again. Met office rainfall forecast just shows it all fragmenting as we progress through this evening/night. But radar seems to be pepping it up in places.

Well my rather "toys out of the pram reverse psychology" post worked haha. Coming down thick and fast now despite radar not looking all that impressive. Not far from the clearance out west though so not sure how long it will last but enjoying what I have.

Yep - radar definitely looks screwed over Salisbury plain sort of area. Patches of snow disappearing and reappearing like Debbie Magee

Just can't seem to get anything heavier over us. I can't believe we will end up missing out.....
