Tantalizingly close to Poole. No PPN at all yet. The wind chill is something else out there. I miss my weather station. I don't know how cold it is but it is but feels very cold. Seeing the pics and videos from cornwall gives me hope!

Little drive up onto quantock hills, heavy snow and settling instantly, had to turn around as not good driving conditions, snowing here also, pretty heavy.

 

Looks like tonight going to be a bit special.

That would be just about right. I'm the little grey patch in the nw corner of north Devon with no snow. Sleeting here and 10 minutes east the white stuff is coming down.  I imagine that'll continue through the night.

It has just started snowing here.

The Temp here is currently 4.5C dereasing by -0.4C /hr DP 1.6C. Temps are what UKMO have forecasted for this time of the day. It looks like it's due to cool down once the rain arrives.

Obviously this is going to be rain for Poole and Bournemouth at first but given the fact we have a small pivot going on to the south would be a good thing going on into the evening. There has been slight circulation in the clouds too so really good to see.

How accurate are those usually? That's quite an increase in predicted snowfall for here.

It will start as rain no doubt, but transition to snow wont take long imo. I'll let you know what it's like at the top of the hill as and when

Polzeath and Newquay are in grey area's on that chart and they look to be doing fine so i'd not be too despondent just yet.

3°c and dp of -2 here. Seems to be dropping 0.1° every 20mins in the last couple of hours. Just waiting for the ppn to arrive

It performed pretty well last year during The Beast as I recall.

Will be interesting to see if it does well for this event as it keeps the snow going in my location for most of the day tomorrow as well!

Interestingly it matches the forecast on my Meto weather app almost exactly!!
