Spitting with rain here. Temperature hovering at 3.5°C with a dewpoint of 0.6°C, just doesn't seem to be falling just yet.

Nothing over this side of Weston yet.

I don't know if it was some low cloud over the hill, nothing now though.

i just re-posted it to show how bad it got since you posted it.

Look now the snow has gone off the lens. Looks like they have had quite a bit in that area

Latest Met Office update still gives loads of heavy snow but starting earlier at 5pm

Have finally registered to follow along with you all after lurking here since the Beast hit in March last year.

Skies are very grey here at the minute (Mendips/North Somerset). Really hoping for a snow day tomorrow!

No light snow in Bath Leon? (For now I mean) Radar has light snow over Bath.

Running the radar through its really starting to pivot south of Bournemouth.

What would that mean for us living in Bournemouth Rapodo? I'm still learning!

I can see the reason why west Cornwall cooled down much earlier than expected. A little trough of LP developed just ahead of the main system and has turned the winds easterly just there.

Note the rotation down there and further south west with "off-shore" north easterlies in the extreme south west and east south easterlies developing further east too - a few hours ahead of schedule.  I'm not sure if this feature will develop any further but it's certainly increasing the snow potential in Cornwall and Devon.

Check out the development over the last 24 hours.

It would be good! Fully braced for the rain which is imminent now but lets hope that swings in our favour later this evening.

Looking at the latest HIRLAM run, it seems to have it about right for the current time:

Assuming it continues to be about right, this is what should be on the ground tomorrow morning:

Looks to be delaying the front pushing in by half an hour or so into parts of Poole and Bournemouth. The longer it holds off the better.

We need it to hold off until it's cooler. Dew point is still above 0c we need the colder air to come in.

The Met Office have Gosport down for heavy snow at 2200 and 2300 which seems to tie in with what the EURO4 model shows.
