Haha - I trust you safely made it to Brum, BB?

Easy mate. In fact, i reck a lot of work people who travel to meetings and the like prob skipped today for travel as earlier in week snow forecast was more widespread. M5 was easy as was M40/42. Got here in 1hr, 15 mins.

Hope u all get snowed in later on. I'll be logging in to see reports and pics. Good luck to all in this thread. Cheers

Gone 1.30pm and it still hasn't started ppn in Exeter. It's dark and windy but no ppn just yet. So surely that's slower than expected?

About right I think this is the EURO4 6z for 3PM

Temps dropping here and wind picking up. Smells like it's going to snow, before you all think I'm barking, trust me, snowy air smells different. You office dwellers probably don't notice such things, but us outsiders do.

I am with you on this. The air definitely changes smell when snow or rain is on the air.

Absolutely Jethro worked on thatched roofs all my life and you can definitely smell when it's going to snow.

90s was soooo bad.

Tell me about it - I remember Spirals

I had to Google Spirals (In my 20's) and it's the same building that I've just literally come back from (Anytime Fitness) - Mind blown.

I wonder if Shaky has had a nervous breakdown yet as it looks like the SW has pinched his snow?

Was Riley's before Anytime Fitness there was some pretty crazy times up there also in the mid 2000s as it was the only place around that had a late night license, think they did try making it in to a night club again called Waves or something but have no idea what happened to that. I have a membership up there also not been for a while though, I just use it for spinning classes or did.

Liking what I have seen this morning. Expecting PPN here inside the next hour. Sure it will be rain on landfall but as it wraps, fingers crossed, the changing wind direction and dew points should increase snow potential for later on.

Going to stick my neck out and say, even for Weymouth, we will be unlucky not to have 2-3 cm laying snow before tomorrow morning. Knife edge still.

Choose a good day to be working from home that's for sure!

I think it will def be knife edge for us on the coast, sat watching the radar and waiting to see what arrives and how/if it develops on the top of Portland.

Yeah definitely some pivot action going on right now.

Is the PPN around Guernsey supposed to swing back around towards the West Country & SE Wales?

Looking at latest Met office video forecast I would say yes?

Might it pivot to early and miss here entirely I wouldn't rule it out especially with the uncertainty in the low in the English channel could help pull the band further south!
