There's some flakes in the wind here, temp went back up to 2.0°C

Have a butcher's out there now, as this heavier shower on the back edge goes through. You might be lucky. Just rain down here.

For any newbies in here, when @Climate_Eyes appears.... its definitely going to snow, thunder, or both.

What can I say, I'm just the harbinger of doom

Flakes very light now.

Preferably I would like it to stall over or near us or travel a bit more slowly so we can make the most out of it but at least it's still snow

MetO is probably my favourite ATM because of it's current forecast online which looks like very prolonged heavy snowfall!

The breeze is really preventing temperatures falling, it will have to ease for us to even get a frost tonight.

Prolonged snow looks unlikely here I’m still favouring the midlands at this point most models stall the front in the midlands!

Yeah Icon looks like another non-event for us on the 18Z.

Not gonna give up but neither will I get my hopes up.

DPs and 850's only just getting snow in the extreme north of our region as it stands.

Better for the south the further east you go:

Being north in the region ICON not looking to bad tonight, liking the way the front trys to pivot and return south.

You can also see why the area south of Dublin keeps being highlighted as a spot for the heaviest falls, as the east flow keeps feeding moisture of the sea.

Baby steps with the GFS, slowly getting there. I would really love to know the story for Thursday and Friday now but I suppose the suspense makes it worth the while! ☃️

I hope we know by tomorrow evening.

Looks good for our region Thursday afternoon, evening. I wont be here as travelling to Brum airport; should miss snow travelling up (leave here by late morn). Bit concerned re Fri morn at Brum airport as looks like Brum right in firing line. Enjoy the snow Thurs.

3.05pm peak warmth from the day so it takesuntil nightfall to settle before clearing just when temps are conducive.
