Bit more of a noticeable drop now, down to 6.4°C after a high of 7.3°C earlier

Temp finally on the turn - 6.2C afer reaching a high of 6.5 at lunchtime. No ppn of any kind here yet, although the clouds are very grey.

I read that as '-6.2C' at first and I wondered if Southampton had floated off to the Arctic!

Reports of sleet just across the channel in cardiff, NW snow radar app showing alot of sleet and snow on the back edge of the precipitation.

Hammering it down here (with rain I hasten to add), temperature down to 4.8°C, just didn't fall low enough it time for the passage of the front.

Hammering it down........ with rain. Temp is dropping, but enough I fear.

3.9c & dewpoint of 3c. I bet once the front has cleared, it will be cold enough to snow, but nothing to fall from the sky.

Which is what happens 9 times out of 10 in these situations sadly.

No precipitation here as yet. Just got in and on the way home  passed 2 gritters treating the A33 Reading to Basingstoke Rd.

I remain optimistic! and hope that everyone further west see's some snow later this evening or at least later this week.
