Met office update says nothing at all here today. It's gone from heavy snow to heavy rain to bone dry. Confused..... Think looking out the window is best option.

Just a hunch but I think long ranger will go average to mild soon.

Well today’s update certainly isn’t average or mild.

Well according to the radar it should be raining right now, don’t think so, not a drop

Temperature peaked at 6.6°C here about 45 mins ago but is already back down to 5.6°C and falling quite nicely, and the precipitation is only just staring here.

According to the Hirlam model run at 6am, there should be quite a lot of snow falling from the showers later on over the West Country.

Accumulated snow totals at 1300 tomorrow:

Interesting afternoon/evening coming up here in Gloucestershire by the looks of it... the cold seems to be creeping down the country looking at the radar. Just hope it gets here before the heavy stuff that’s coming this way from Wales. That’s really pepped up the last few hours, more than I was expecting. It’s moving slow too, so if it keeps it’s intensity..

Knife edge stuff, good luck everyone in the SW!

Winds picking up and heavy rains have now set in down in Falmouth. Keep a eye on the radar guys, changing colour all the time.

Yep - nearly halfway through the rain band now and it looks a high ground affair even to the north of us in Wales. Cotswolds might get lucky later.

Just finished watching the live Met Office forecast. Their own model looks the best for our region... many happy people if they're correct.
