Cold rain Down here in Cornwall but that was to be expected. The fun and games start later . Good luck guys, I think there’ll be some surprises today.

Good morning, temperature is 0.7°C  with overcast skies. There’s some ppn to my west but seems it’s fizzling out

MO is showing sleet for 3-6pm Thurs but hopefully that evolves. All snow and sleet are wiped off the forecast for today

It’s confusing as on breakfast news carol said something milder (8c) comes in on Thursday then 2ninutes later spotlight weather said Thursday is the day to watch with snow down to all levels possible.

Today's snow has all but vanished. Showing rain and sleet clearing by 6pm.

High ground on the Thursday will see snow in Cornwall tho the folk of Devon will be in luck I reckon for seeing some of the white stuff.

Still never easy to call.

Going to be an annoying day for most of us in the region. I suspect elsewhere we will see snow and probably a few places doing well, but it just looks on the wrong side of marginal for the SW. That said, we may get more chance of at least falling snow as the cold front moves through, and that's much later today (esp for those further east).

At the moment Thursday look much more interesting...

After a high yesterday of 7.5c, was 2.4c at midnight and got to a low of 0.9c at 4am.
Now 3.8c, very light SSE wind, 1002.1 hPa.
A slight frost here and brightening up clear skies.

It will probably be  just rain/sleet today across the SW but it looks like tonight there will be some decent snow showers around on the NW flow. Even us in Weymouth/West Dorset tend to pick up the odd shower in that setup.

Yes especially in warm Weston. Travel 5 miles inland and it will be different.

Thursday is too far out... Remember Tuesday was the Thursday just a few days ago..  And same a week or so before that.

I'm not sure Tuesday looked as good at this distance out (<70 hours). By this stage, if I remember it rightly, we were down to the thin band shooting west to east, with already questions about rain/sleet/snow. Of course there is still mush time for Thurs to 'go wrong' for us (too far north - very possible, too far south, possible, but less likely). This is also the main system edging in rather than todays scenario.

As ever time will tell...

Where is your location? Must be the coldest place in North Somerset at your spot.

I doubt it. Blagdon is still 2C. I’m in Cleeve. It can be a little frost hollow of its own sometimes but not massively so.

Looks like a washout for the Isle of Wight. The precipitation comes in way to early today and wont get the NW flow til later in the day. Agh
