Yes in agreement with most, I have a feeling we may well get a wintry mix tomorrow but nothing to get excited about - I think ice could well be an issue in places.

Thursday into Friday looks more interesting and hope we all get lucky at some point.

lets hope the tentative signs of an Easterly come to fruition!

Heres to snow days fingers crossed and let’s hope to build a snowman ⛄️ my 2 and half year old will love it! Come on snow gods be good to us Western and Southerners!!!!!

Thursday is getting interesting now, the lows track looks pretty good, with the mild sector being pushed south, and the ppn hanging around for a long time given the nature of the set up (it’s not a simple front passing through)

Tomorrow is just the opposite, with a skinny front moving east, may well be some snow on it but doubt it will be much. Perhaps a covering for some further north and east. But having said that it will be a nowcast event, so keep an eye on the radar

I'm really not feeling optimistic about tomorrows prospects or Thursdays to be honest IMBY, maybe it's model fatigue but I was really looking forward for tomorrow a couple of days ago but it looks like a total dreary non event for most  I hope my negativity is mis-placed but if nothing happens this week IMBY i'm giving up and coming back next winter.

Marginal= Nice big fat flakes of snow!

More often it does indeed mean big fat blobs of rain..

Tuesday looks bust and Thursdays has a couple of days to go bust... Hmm

Well, the metoffice has me down for heavy rain, then two hours of sleet and then one hour of light snow tomorrow evening, so a damp squib!

I would be feeling more confident in the mendips than at my poxy 71m, don't lose faith just yet things can change for better or worse still even at short range!

My WXSIM forecast has been toying with that idea for a number of days  now.

Yes. Very memorable. I was in the car driving back from macro and the heavens opened. Thunder, lightening and intense snowfall. It layed about an inch in 20 mins. Cars were skidding everywhere. On the way there the sky was clear and I didn't think it would snow. It was amazing. First snow I had seen in a while. Since then we've had alpine snow and snow with freezing rain. Alpine snow was the best. Freezing rain on top of snow was the worst. Thundersnow was just wow. A bit scary driving but wow

waiting on spotlight david braine weather - coming right up

edit: after the forecast

only high ground briefly for rain to turn to snow, but wintry showers will follow behind, even to low levels

Living here on the Isle of Wight I've learned to take snow forecasts with a very large pinch of salt.

One of the worst places if you love snow.

Very true, but I'd swap storms for snow any day.
