I did, it’s going to give the forecasters an absolute nightmare over the weekend, plus also the Meto long range is very bullish going forward

Expecting this to turn from showers to light snow then to heavy snow over the next few days lol!

Very nice to see it say snow in the south and nothing about the Midlands or Northern England.

That is the same as my forecast. Could this be our chance!

I have a feeling that this low will be one of those beauties which heads straight through the channel giving a big snow event for the South for us to gloat about! By Monday afternoon we will probably know if we are going to get any... I'm excited

More % points against I’m afraid.....let’s play a game of count the snowflakes. Love to see prolonged heavy fall, but to me more likely sleety rain mix at best. Hopefully when the downwelling actually lands the snow gods will start to smile upon us.

Wawaweewa! One stray comment in the model/chat thread and all hell breaks loose!

The birds are singing and twittering outside, if you close your eyes you can feel a springlike ambience..

Remember, this time last week we were all feeling pretty pleased with ourselves.

I'd had my tea, poured a pint and my thoughts were shifting to where I'd put the sledge last March... Then the ECM came out.

Certainly felt springlike this afternoon when the sun came out. Reached 12.9°C here, currently 11.2°C.

Has the new thread format given you more or less work to do @Mapantz?

Or we get s bucketload if cold rain because it’s not quite cold enough, contain your excitement until Monday at the earliest!

Thanks for sharing this. I guess the GFSp is the minority he's talking about:

Come on let this happen. We deserve to hit the jackpot down here.

If ECM gives the south a snow event tonight I won't be able to contain myself.

I agree, all that most want is a good snow fall, that lasts on the ground for a few days - the rest of the winter can do what it likes as far as I'm concerned!
