My WXSIM forecast went for 7mm of rain here from yesterday's cold front, and I recorded 7.4mm. Quite pleased with that error margin.

I think you'll find that is massively overplaying accumulations. If that chart was to be considered correct, the Met Office would issue a yellow warning for snow. As it is, there's just an ice warning out.

Still giving short term hope for me, but agreed, won't happen, just interesting to see.

In a word... NONE! I’ve got a bit of elevation as well, but no help whatsoever. I’m about 0.8c colder than my old town however ?‍♂️

I thought the colder air was supposed to come in behind the front but still seems far too mild for anything other than rain.  Not that I was expecting much anyway but would be nice to just see a few flakes falling after the shocking winter we've had to endure so far!

Currently in Reading and waiting for this wave of showers to pass over, temps/dewpoints seem a degree or two too high unfortunately.

Some Light sleet fell here, ppn intensity keeps breaking up just around me and pretty much all missed.

Another bust.

The familiar sound of rain. Still way too high here at 5.3°C, even if it has dropped slightly.

Interesting hearing from the Met Office.. the forecast last week for this Friday showed an 80% chance across all model ensembles that the jet would be amplified and an Easterly would take hold. A tiny change across the pond scuppered that.

Sudden drop from 5.3°C to 4.8°C. Still nowhere near cold enough for even a bit of sleet.

Standard January weather it would seem. Even some hail would add interest lol.

Temp dropped to 3.9C as the intensity of the rain picked up a bit. On the rise again now as it's subsiding.
