Mostly cloudy here, although there have been breaks in the cloud. Temp 11.9°C

Here's my WXSIM forecast for Thursday..

Thursday

Partly to mostly sunny in the morning, becoming sunny in the afternoon. Breezy. High 8°C. UV index up to 1. Wind east-northeast around 11 mph, gusting to 20 mph.

Thursday night

Clear. Low 1°C. Wind chill ranging from -3 to 1. Wind east-southeast around 11 mph, gusting to 19 mph.

That looks a bit better!

For what it's worth, much prefer the look of next week. Something seasonal for a change.

We went to Frome today, cos I've never been. It was a bit drizzly.

We didn't see Huey from the Fun Loving Criminals and we had Fish and Chips for lunch, so not a bad day, all in all.

Could get close to a new pressure record on my station, next week:

I picked up 1044mb in 2016 so yes it could well push a new record show it come off.

You've been in the HFC thread again haven't you?

Always amazes me how data can be interpreted in so many different ways, but heyho all data can tell you what you want to believe...the Hunt for cold continues...(so does the dross)

Couldn't resist it. Amazes me how stressed out and grumpy they all get.

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas.

Thought I would share this with you, I just overheard two of my kids talking about the weather they were discussing the head line the express has put out today the conversation went a bit like this . " I just read the Beast from the east is coming again"

"Well we know that won't happen they say it every year"

"I would rather have the Beast from the East than the Pest from the West"

I couldn't help but chuckle .

Just popped out to the brew shed for a beer.... Looked up, clear sky.

Couldn't make it up.

I'm sure the cloud will be back in time for the morning.

10.5°C here. Will be nice to see a frost later in the week if nothing changes between now and then.

Still dropping here, although it's not really moving much as it's only dropped to 10.4°C.

Situation normal, it’s been raining for last few hours and is still doing so...

Interesting... a few fleeting spots here as well. WXSIM gave a 10% chance of rain.

Considering how high the pressure is I'm surprised there's any rain around at all.
