Interesting had a shower around 3pm while the sun was peaking out!

Quite a loud clap of thunder around an hour ago, along with a heavy shower, quite pleasant dusk now though, blue / grey sky no wind.

Someone mentioned interesting cloudscapes for today, here's a couple from my afternoon stroll around the edge of the village.

That was me! Distant CB anvils visible all day from here.

Yep sure was, about 40mins ago. Looking at the radar the flow in from the SW seems to be loading and reloading all the time with more showers.

Haven't seen a spot of rain today, stayed dry and sunny all day, still dry and clear now. Sods law it was an inside day today but it was still nice to not have rain battering down on the greenhouse, especially as it's an enormous old wooden one that has shrunk during the hot summer and now leaks like a sieve. Been making Christmas at work, dodgy pics, really must get a better phone....

What are the chances of getting a cold Christmas? I know snow is out of the question, but dry and frosty? Can't make head nor tail of the hunt for cold thread, one says zonal all the way, another says that's baloney. Makes my head spin.

Looks like a tasty one about to hit @Mapantz

Although it could be going slightly north, so it might hit @karlos1983 instead.

Thought I was going to be able to report a completely dry day, but oh no, it's raining. Again.

It's lovely here. Weather like this for next Tue/Wed would do just fine for me.

The forecast isn't too encouraging though! But we can only hope it changes

Looking at the fax charts there are a few warm fronts that drift North on Sunday/Monday so I expect a lot of murk/low cloud will be left behind. The higher pressure should prevent anything more than drizzle but this time of year it won't burn off, whereas from April-September it would. Probably boring temperatures of 10c max and 8c min!!

Hello Andy,

I'm not going to worry about it until Sunday.  We'll be down Fawley way, so I'm hoping to get to Lepe and Calshot for a wander.

Just a break from the wind/rain/in-laws would be a nice start.

Blue skies to start the day here, wonder how long it’ll stay dry today. 10.1°C
