That was interesting, a sudden downpour that lasted about 3 seconds with nothing that close on the radar.

The next frame shows it literally came from nowhere as it developed overhead. Looks like quite a few showers around now.

27.9mm to 08.00, it rained pretty much throughout daylight hours so I shouldn't be surprised I suppose.  Second highest total of the year so far.

Weird showers early this morning.. like 3 huge drops on the porch roof, then silence. Then a few large drops somewhere outside, then silence again. All of a sudden, taps on! taps off! Some hail mixed in too. 8.2mm since midnight. 30.4mm in the last 24 hours. 156mm for December.

Currently 7.4°C and another shower.

Knee jerk reactions galore. ?‍♂️

I wonder if Paul could extend his special competition to include those too? There’d be plenty of winners.

I'm getting double-time on Christmas day due to the likely event that 'less data input' get's used in posts on the big day.

@Mapantz hope you're being paid well

Finally some sun although I doubt it’ll last long looking at the red blob heading this way on the radar. 8.8°C

Amusingly this is 7th fine weekday out of 8, the exception obviously being yesterday.

Beginning to look like a weekend of 2 halves this time, unfortunately for us the 2nd half looks worst because we’re booked in to go to Longleat on Sunday!

Some pretty beefy showers in the Southampton area. Lovely day inland though. Most welcome after yesterday's rain and gales

Yeah, we've had blue sky above pretty much all day, but the Sun's so low in the sky that those clouds down South have scuppered our Sunshine.

Someone mentioned interesting cloudscapes for today, here's a couple from my afternoon stroll around the edge of the village.
