With Christmas Day a week away... GFS 12z shows some sunny spells in our region for the day, with temperatures around 6-9C - could be worse!

Certainly better than 14°C with heavy rain on Christmas Day 2015.

Temps look to be somewhere between 11 and 13°C for here on Christmas day, pretty much the same as the previous two years.

21mm today and up to 94mm for the month. Roll on some sunshine tomorrow and, if there must be showers then hopefully there will be some spectacular cloudscapes.

Yes same here it's been calm for a few hours but the winds picked up a bit now.

It's gone from being a similar temperature to areas inland to 4-5°C higher.

Really looking forward to getting wxsim up & running in the next couple of days. I had an email to say that some work had been done, but I should have the completed files by Thursday. It should be able to produce accurate forecasts down to within 10 miles.
