Snow overnight on the A53 Leek road higher up, photo taken by a driver going from Leek to Hope cement works.

Slush and light snow reported at lower levels around Ashbourne, Leek, Buxton etc and at 1200 ft plenty of snow has been reported in the peak district.

Bright spells at first this morning, cloud increasing from the east.
