I'll 'ave you know that I, and my 'ole family, all lived in a shoe box, under the stairs, until I was 43!:help:

Shoe box? You had it lucky! Mine had to make do with a match box, with the matches! 😉

And now the showers are starting to pack in to the Wash and East Anglia

Some showers that propped up near Cambridge seem now to be trying to join the main band , what a weird event this has been .

Still snowing in eastbourne. Got more in the last few hours than what we got in the whole of the beast last winter.

Still snowing lightly in Reigate but not much settling here. The traffic cams on the m25 on Reigate Hill show quite a bit settling on the verges...

Well looking at the radar the snow area appears to be centred right over croydon for the last 2 hours.  24hrs ago this was the area where everything was clear. What a difference a day makes.

Snowing

Same. Cars driving past with snow on them so it’s clearly settling somewhere locally. Wish it would just pep up.

Band over se London moving southwards bu5 breaking up and weakening as i5 does so.think by midnight we will all be done although I 5hink snow showers will move into EA from midnight onwards.Certainly been an interesting day which some models have really struggled to get hold of what tbf was a developing situation.Great stuff!!

I’m fairly low elevation at south Croydon but it’s been mostly persistent sleet/rain

Maybe I've got a bit more elevation than you, our pavements and grass completely covered and still steady snow.

6 hours later and it's still coming down. Not sure anyone saw this coming. Got about 5cm covering on everything although I can hear it melting too.

This is insane!!

Buses have been abandoned, cars sliding all over the place, 2-4cm at an estimate and that’s at sea level, more even just slightly higher up!!

Just for the sake of consistency, it’s still p1ssing down with rain in Horley five miles away. Is Horley actually below sea level?! 😄
