SE and East Anglia general weather discussion 07/11/2018

Its beginning to look like the energy has sheared off from the front and its moving away east along the english channel towards the far north of france whilst the snow falling over Surrey, Sussex's and Hants is becoming weaker.. this seems very odd.

You are in Hastings... right? Down on seafront... snow that even if it settled and continued for an hour wouldn't look like a frost!

According to the radar its gonna get a lot better!

Out the back door again and snow is falling. No lampposts in my road in Ninfield!!

Ditto, our council tax doesn’t include street lighting in my village either! I drove through a Ninfield yesterday, I noticed your local is now calling itself a gastro pub, is it any good?!!

Use the meteociel radar as it gives a better idea .

The precip is now arcing nw towards the eastern Thames Estuary .

Just took the dog for a quick walk along Thorpe bay sea front I can confirm a biting strong south easterly wind...I didn't last long. Looking at the radar its looking pretty good here in Essex for tonight although the met does show it turning to rain tomorrow morning....http://www.raintoday.co.uk/mobile

A couple of things

Whoever gets that heavy precip off the Sussex and Kent Coast is going to hit the Jackpot if it can keep its intensity

The wind is really strong down here in the estuary and it looks more convective than frontal atm

Good Luck

Just started snowing in north-east Hampshire. Come on keep going. Radar looks a bit weak and patchy but we have many hours of potential still to come.

If it was heading east you wouldn’t get the arcing nw into the estuary .

I think people are getting stressed prematurely . 😎
