Yeah, no issues there mate, so baffled as to why pretty much every model = snowless for us.

There is nothing marginal about it - I quite like all the models give us nowt can only go one way I suppose lol

That is a massive upgrade Steve.

*Usually* a very reliable model at this range.

I really hope it doesn't turn to rain later on as METO are suggesting for my area. To see what could be up to 5cm build up to then start to get washed away before morning would be devastating

1.5c at the mo with a -2c dp.

Wind picking up also - We have some decent elevation here so I just hope it doesn’t swizzle before it gets to me...

I don’t know about other areas of the country but it’s no joke here when it snows even moderately - the transport infrastructure really, really struggles with ANY accumulation of the white stuff particularly around London - presumably mostly down to the density of people trying to complete their commute at the same time. I dread what the trains will be like later particularly - and wouldn’t envy anyone trying to navigate the road network after 9pm...

Hardly surprising as every single car drives at half speed or even a quarter of the speed. Which would be as though the entire county of Surrey had roadworks on every single major and minor road. Imagine what that would be like. Its effectively what happens.. Plus the ones who then try to speed, crash, making matters worse.. Its exactly the same in every single similarly densely populated city or town in the world where snow falls only occasionally close or just above freezing,.. Happens all over Europe.

Just seen another slight upgrade on the met office forecast for my area.. now I have to find where I left my list of snow puns, so I have them ready for the morning.

Its snow joke, I cant make it to the office today...

The latest Euro4 is a chart of utter beauty if you live in London.

We shall see.

And heartbreak for parts of Kent and Essex looks like rain now after all that snowy promise for my area

Proof, if needed, of how poor PPN forecasts are on weather apps... According to met office app I should be seeing drizzle right now. Definitely nothing precipitating here!

Actually on second look it wasn’t the Met O, they forecast an hour of sleet in the early hours. It was my apple weather app! Feel a bit better about it now.

Not happening mate. If the Ppn arrives, it WILL be snow for the majority, don't worry about that. Ignore the charts showing rain on Kent/Essex coast. Total trash.

On one of the posts just now latest Euro4 showed blue around the Thames estuary and coasts and even outskirts of East London was good for elsewhere though
