Its certainly advancing up the channel faster than it is over Somerset and Wiltshire. Could cause the channel precip to intensify at it comes ashore with a cold SE undercut. I would expect that new low forming off Devon to position itself close to the IOW by 7-8 pm

I was surprised to see that Meteox radar has the band of snow coming in but quickly turning back to rain across most of the south.  01:00 friday

no flakes reported in the sw yet

However there is settled snow at Lizard, right at the far end of Cornwall! If it can settle there at low ground, it shouldn't have too many issues by the time it reaches our area. (though they probably benefitted from some heavy convection nearby).

Never o'clock. Don't know what it is based on, but there is zero chance of the front getting that far north.

Good to know as Met Office also seemed to just update their forecast for Kent to show turning back to rain around same time too

A massive positive just posted by a forecaster I hold in Very high regard and who is always very Conservative - He said draw a line from Wales across to North Essex and that's the snow line - Anyone South of this line could get between 3-7cm obvs more over Hills

Let’s hope so mate. Fearing the worst to be honest ??
