Just fwiw I've done a rough estimate based on the UKMO precip charts for my location, which comes out around 7cms (I've accounted that the front edge and back edge probably be marginal, maybe even the wrong side). If its not too marginal, that figures goes upto 10cms.

LOL your posts could do with Regards Thursday in them.

Might get some very back edge snow later but very disappointing in Essex tonight. Heavy rain all the way and now the heaviest stuff on the radar is passing... Think I might just call it quits and sleep until Thursday!

Well, if today's merely a 'taster', you might as well not wake-up until Friday?:hi:

For those in East Anglia ,

I presume that further south and west would also be in the 2-5cm bracket

I think until the event is over and we look at what has caused this wedge of land to not see anything but heavy rain versus snow we just cant say. Could be a number of things, onshore flow, rate of precip, dont know at this stage

According the radar we're getting the heaviest precip right now!

Probably has something to do with this.

Gap by kent from the channel flow which then extends to the esturay which just keeps it going north. You may need to click/press it.

Might get a few heavier bursts before it clears, but won’t be long until it clears, be lucky to get a cm

There you go, that shows that perfectly, the wedge of warmer dps and the reason that slice is rain

Sleety snow last few mins in Gravesend pretty heavy too

I bet places like Harvel and Vigo up from Meopham are doing well. My mum lives in Meopham, nothing much than sleet here in Old Windsor and about to fizzle out ☹️
