SE and East Anglia general weather discussion 07/11/2018

Jokes aside, halfway under the front now and still rain.. and upon inspection the dew point has actually risen by 1c!

weather apps have it turning in about an hour or two more here, but by that point i think it'll have shifted completely past Hunstanton

Think i was always a bit too north but still will hold out hope and stay positive for those further south facing a couple cm later on

After heavy rain for the past hour, the ppn has got lighter, but there is definitely a hint of wintriness about it... A few small flakes mixed in with the rain now.

You got the precipitation before sunset though, some of us are still dry.

Actually, it was dark before it started raining, but yes the timing will have had some effect. I'm not saying you won't get snow, but the temps are just not dropping off fast, or low. 1 or 2c lower and it could be very different.

According to the radar, the snow is not too far away from us in Epsom /local areas.

Almost done over here, certainly some good potential for you lot out east if your temps drop quick enough. There was plenty of precip just it was too wet before. Good luck ☺️

I think i'm actually most looking forward to see if it'll turn to snow in central london and if it does, if it'll settle and if so how long for!

I left work in Leatherhead around 6:30 pm when it showed 3c in the car and when I got to Egham it went down to 0.5c and sleety snow. And driving up to Englefield it went down to -0.5c and snow! Currently it’s  snowing lightly in Old Windsor but nothing settling as too light!

Now settling on the grass and bins. Very odd given everyone is reporting rain. Temp 0.8c and dew of 0c (Harrow)
