assuming nothing changes I think we do have an initial period of rain between 7-9

On the ICON the downs go white first ~ 8pm then the rest over 2 hours - The low then lifts & the main hit zone is kent - highest depth 10-11 Inches ☃️☃️❄️

If only...I’m under the highest total area in Kent. It’ll never happen!

From experience, these lows 90% of the time track into the bay of biscay region so do not affect us, fairly sure that will happen here to although hope it doesnt

Am i the only one in here getting very nervous now that this low pressure is just going to dive into France and we’ll end up with nothing as usual?

The latest GFS for tuesday seems to put into a fair way into central France

What do you mean snob?

I don't know if the snow for us will happen but I wonder if the comments on the mad thread come from frustration that they might miss out.  I do not like that thread but it is like a car crash you just have to keep peeking lol

I've been a member on here for 9 years rarely post but always keep an eye on the various threads... the mod thread is always a bit nuts in winter but this year seems worse than ever, perhaps it's just me.

Anyway... low percentage chance of channel low delivering (in my back yard) onTues IMHO. If only we could get a bit of high latitude blocking... onwards and upwards.

If i could bank a run, it would be that icon output for Tuesday

How accurate was the Icon for last Tuesday's snow?

I am of the view if it's too good to be true, then it usually isn't true, so that low will probably go too far north or too far south to give us snow. It would be great if it behaved itself this time and gave the region a dumping!

Given that the mad thread is arguing if Tuesday's "event" is going "south" perhaps rather than debating whether the snow line is North or South of the M4 we should be wondering whether it'll be North or South of the A272.....

I think all of us in the southeast are due a decent widespread snowfall, everywhere else in the country does better than us,even the south west at times,if I ever become a multi-multi millionaire,im moving that bloody m4 corridor into spain

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
