So nice for the risk to be 72 hours away rather than 10 days! Interesting to see what happens. This week had none at home but at work in Dover had a covering!

We have to remember guys and girls we could be on the cusp of something quite great, a lot of members in other regions will be doing thier up most to post negative stuff (jealousy is evil) stick in the regional thread from tomorrow we got plenty of guys and girls in here that post and keep us in the loop with up to date data.

Now..

Snow dance time and a little pray

IT looks so good. Then northern blocking?? Yes please.

Wow! Channel Low theory from @TomSE12 a few days ago ... and looks like he's conjuring up a live practical session too! ❄☃️

Please please let this stay like this.

I’m right between the 18 and 20cms but I’ll settle for 19.

Hi guys

I have an appointment at a spinal unit 15 miles away Tuesday. If snow hits, what time are the current models showing it to hit. Its too risky to go if in doubt, due to where I live. Hills were impassable within an hours last week.

Are there any sites/apps that show live temps? And possible pressure/ front movements. Satellite and radar is ok for precip but not specific for the dp and temps nationwide.

Sorry @Mizzle went away from lappy, i use xcweather myself, it uses official stations so your not getting bad obs from badly sited stations.

It does seem after a break from the first front of rain the wraparound looks like it could just give something.

Will certainly be a noticeable change in temps by then, precip should at least start changing to the splodgy kind.

Splodgy rain. I like that phrase. I often call it falling melted snow because when it hurts a surface like the car windscreen you can see the icy components of the higher level snow.

Find yourself looking out the windscreen with a strange look and a cranked neck saying "Yes its definitely splodging"

T72 on today's 12z very good agreement of a low.

Where it is going though big for this region somewhere either close to south coast through channel or closer to France has big implications.
