All the snow arcing around London should slip south overnight across Sussex, so you should get some heavier stuff to settle.

East not West Sussex, I would suggest.

Just drove back from Whitstable to Lee, SE12, up the M2/A2 and it was an interesting drive to say the least. Usual idiots going past me at 70mph in Fiestas and similar and it was snowing quite heavy plus icy and slippery.  I’m driving a 4x4 Landrover but you can’t defy the laws of physics!

Snowing quite heavily in SE12 and I’m happy to be home as the M2/A2 must be a dangerous road by now.

Same here in Groombridge.  Drove up the hill to go to TW at 6.30 to find it snowing heavily. By the time I drove home an hour later there was a decent covering and it was still coming down. Got home to rain - only 3 miles away!

It’s been snowing for three hours in crowborough, looks heavy and promising but it’s not really settling. Very frustrating!

Both Detling Hill and Bluebell Hill impassable. Most of Medway have heavy lying snow apparently. A mile down the road and we have a lovely coating of ice and sleet.

Heavy snow in coulsdon for over an hour. Covering on cars and the grass that was exposed from today's melt is covered again.  Road is still wet but starting to stick on pavements.  Temp 1c dp 0c

Thanks Nick, really appreciate your response. Good to know there's hope yet! Temp 0.6 now so am guessing anything that falls without intensity will soon melt but nice to see it falling.

Can I ask what are your thoughts on a potential N'Easterly or Easterly later in Feb?

Not a happy bunny.

Heavy snow causing disruption over in Kent, while here, less than 20 miles away on the other side of the Thames, just boring sleet as it has been pretty much all day.

And yet a bit further up in Ockendon it’s quite heavy am settling now too! Funny old world!

Looks like it’s slowly slipping south, hoping it keeps up its intensity. Snowing small flakes but heavy in Bromley giving a slight cover on grass on cars but heavier stuff still looks further north at the moment
